Registration
Please note that all participants, whether presenting a paper or not, are expected to register promptly via the conference website. This involves the payment of a registration fee.
Registration Fee
- Early registration (before March 3, 2023): 350,- €
- Regular registration (on or after March 4, 2023): 425,- €
- Reduced: 200,- € (Only for undergraduate and graduate students as well as for one-day-participation)

The program is expected to include the following:
- Full day of plenary sessions and paper presentations on Wednesday, July 19
- Full day of plenary sessions and paper presentations on Thursday, July 20
- Half day (approx.) of plenary sessions and paper presentations on Friday, July 21
At the conference venue lunch will be provided on Wednesday and Thursday; refreshments will be provided during coffee breaks each morning and afternoon.

The Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law is one of the oldest research institutes in Germany. For more information: https://www.mpipriv.de/academic-history Its library is Europe’s largest library specializing in foreign and international private law and is recognized worldwide for its scope and services. It has a collection of specialist literature from more than 200 countries around the world – in many languages and scripts.
Finger food, soft drinks, mineral water and alcoholic beverages are included.
There will be two library tours (20 participants each) at 5 p.m.

Conference dinner

Guided Highlights Tour at the International Maritime Museum
July 20, 2023 (Thursday), 18:00 – 19:00 / 19:15 – 20:15 / € 28,- per Person
Registration until June 25, 2023 is necessary
Venue: International Maritime Museum, Kaispeicher B, Koreastraße 1, 20457 Hamburg
Duration: 1 hour
The highlights tour at the International Maritime Museum includes themes from nine exhibition decks which offer you a representative cross-section of 3000 years of shipping history. A ship made of gold, the Queen Mary II made of Lego and a dugout from the Elbe are just a few of the unique exhibits that will be presented to you during this tour.

This event only takes place if a certain minimum number of persons is reached. In case the event is cancelled due to insifficent number of participants, you will be informed after the expiration of the registration deadline of June 25, 2023, and fully refunded.
Guided Boat Tour on Watercanals
July 20, 2023 (Thursday) / 19:30 – 21:30 / € 28,- per Person
Registration until June 15, 2023 is necessary

Soft drinks and beer are NOT included and could be purchased on board.

Special Circumstances
In the event that a participant is unable to obtain a visa for travel to Germany, a refund of the paid registration fee (less a processing charge of 50,- €) will be available. To obtain a refund, conference organizers must be notified latest by June 16, 2023. In case of a cancellation on other grounds, no refund will be available after May 31, 2023.
