Johannes Müller has been working as a research associate at the iff since April 2026. He is an economist (M.A. in Pluralistic Economics) specializing in consumer-related financial market regulation.
In his previous role at the Federation of German Consumer Organizations (vzbv), he closely monitored the legislative processes surrounding the implementation of the Consumer Credit Directive and the reform of the Federal Data Protection Act, with a particular focus on consumer protection. Other areas of his consumer policy work included the compatibility of debt relief and data protection, access to payment services, and the contractual model for partial real estate sales.
